Plainville posted the following on its municipal website
The Plainville Emergency Operations Center (not the shelter) at the Police Department will open today at 5pm. Emergency Management will continue to monitor the snowstorm and will determine if a shelter is needed. In the event a shelter opens, information will be available by calling 211. If opened, the shelter would be at the Plainville High School.

Please make preparations to shelter in place for at least 3 days. Have non-perishable food and water on hand.
