Rotary gets ready for its annual Penny Sale

The Plainville Rotary Club is holding it’s 39th Annual Penny Sale on April 13. The event will be held at the PlainvilleHigh School gymnasium on Robert Holcomb Way and doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Last year, people were greeted by none other than Rocky the Rock Cat as they entered the school hallway towards ticket sales, raffles of bicycles, and perhaps a slice of pizza on the way to claim their seat for the night.

This event is a scholarship fundraiser for the youth of Plainville schools. As with all functions of the Plainville Rotary Club, the members raise money to provide services to satisfy the needs of the Plainville community.

The Plainville Rotary meets every Monday at 12:15 p.m. at J. Timothy’s Restaurant, New Britain AvenuePlainville. Attend a meeting and see what this organization is all about and how it can be right for you.
