Plainville police are investigating a stabbing that happened at Taco Bell Thursday at about 10:30 p.m. Two men were stabbed outside of the Taco Bell on New Britain Avenue, by two other men who fled the scene before police arrived. After the stabbing, the two victims walked to a nearby gas station where police and ambulance arrived. One victim was stabbed in the side of his midsection, and the other victim had two stab wounds to his stomach. As of Friday morning both victims, who were rushed to Hartford Hospital, were said to be in stable condition.
The two suspects fled the scene in a vehicle being described as either a red Chrysler 300 or a Dodge Charger with tinted windows. The vehicle was being driven by a third male, the release said.
A preliminary investigation indicates that the two groups had been involved in a verbal argument at another location near where the physical altercation occurred, however the release said it didn’t appear the groups knew each other. The suspects were described as being African American.
Anyone who witnessed the assault or has any information regarding the incident is asked to contact Plainville police at (860) 747-1616.
