Animal prints and bold graphics are fashion perennials.
At a recent trip to the grocery store, an elderly woman rocked her faux fur wintercoat with leopard print. And college students pepper their Facebook timelines with tiger and zebra stripes.
At last July’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami, design houses such as Beach Bunny, Beach Riot, and Caffe all offered animal prints of some kind in their swim wear collections. The latest line from female fave Victoria’s Secret also includes those classic animal prints.
And bold prints, nearly every swimsuit designer that showed at the Miami shows offered some for the 2014 season. Walk through the department stores like J.C. Penney’s this month, the classic polka dot bounces across the swimsuit hangers. VS again figures prominently in this bold print and polka-dotted world.
Forever 21, which recently opened an expanded store at the Westfarms Mall in Farmington, recently introduced its resort collection in time for that winter cruise. And animal prints and polka dots figure prominently in this year’s collection at the chain retailer.
Press materials for Forever 21 explain, “The collection features one piece bathing suits with cutout details, as well as ruffle bandeau tops, fringed triangle tops, and crochet halter tops with matching self-tie bottoms. The styles range from vibrant solid colors to abstract, geo, and animal prints.”YEL_9509 YEL_7438 YEL_7645 YEL_7749 YEL_7978 YEL_8072 YEL_8422 YEL_8770 YEL_9026 YEL_9130 YEL_9162 YEL_9293
