Police are seeking a suspect that resembles this sketch.

The Plainville Police Department is asking for the public’s help with identifying an individual from a composite sketch.

On May 19 at about 6 p.m., police said a male resembling the sketch burglarized a home on Burnside Avenue in Plainville. During the course of the burglary, police said the suspect assaulted a lone female who was inside the residence. The female sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the assault, police said.

The suspect was described as a white male with a dark, tanned complexion, police said. He is believed to be in his 50s, about 6 feet tall, with an average build. Police said he had “unkempt” brown and gray medium length wavy hair. He had a long, unkempt brown and gray beard that extended past his chin, said police. His clothes were described as baggy and oversized for his body.

Anyone who believes they can assist with identifying the male in the sketch is asked to contact Detective David Posadas or Sgt. Nicholas Mullins at (860) 747-1616.
