PCS Players revisit ‘I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change’

“What are you doing Saturday night? Or, for the rest of your life?”  PCS Players can answer the first of those questions for Saturday night, and Friday night as well. The rest is up to you. And how will they do that? By bringing to the stage “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change,” for three repeat performances after a sell -out run when they performed this show in 2014.

The show covers dating and looking for love to marriage, the agonies and triumphs of in-laws, newborns, trips in the family car, and even pick up lines from the geriatricset.

Peter Peluso directs this romantic musical comedy and has brought back the original members of the cast.

In a press release, Peluso stated “We had so much fun doing this show (in 2014), laughing at ourselves and the audience loved it each time. “

Book and lyrics by Joe DiePietro and music is by Jimmy Roberts. This show is recognized as the second longest running off Broadway musical of all time. This production is presented under an arrangement with R&H Theatricals.

The performances are scheduled for Friday, March 23, 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 24 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at Middle School of Plainville on Northwest Drive. Ticket prices are $15 and can be purchased at the door or from any cast member. Tickets may also be purchased at the following ticket outlets: Dancingly Yours, Irene’s Catering (Forestville), Plainville Senior Center, Saint’s Restaurant (Southington) and Family Barber Shop.
