The Plainville Recreation Department Winter/Spring program registration is in progress starting Thursday, Jan. 3 at 8 a.m.
The Plainville Recreation Dept. uses an online software system, RecDesk. To sign up for a RecDesk profile and register for programs, visit plainvillect.recdesk.com.
This system allows citizens the opportunity to sign up for town-sponsored programs and pay registration fees from the comfort of home. For a small processing fee, RecDesk will allow citizens the ability to pay for their registration online via credit card.
Additionally, in person payment options are still available at the Recreation Office and will not be subject to a processing fee at the Recreation Office at 50 Whiting St. The Recreation Office hours are Monday through Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Thursday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to noon. Recreational programs are offered for youth and adults.
Youth activities include ski/snowboard lessons grades 3-8; Fit and Fantastic, grades 6-8; Girls volleyball, grades 5-8; Open gym, ages 3-6; Kidz-R-Size Plus, ages 3 1/2 to 6; Recreation Gymnastics, ages 1-6; Wheeler Gymnastics, ages 1-6; Tumble Time Gymnastics, ages 1-6; Dance Tunes, ages 3 and 4; Contemporary Dance, ages 5-8 and ages 9-12; Water Safety Instruction, ages 16 and up; Lifeguard Training, age 15 and up; Parent and Child Aquatics, 6 months to 5 years; and Red Cross Swim Instruction, Individual Swim Lessons, Diving, ages 9-14; and birthday parties, ages 2-5.
Adult programs include: Adult Swim Instruction, Water Aerobics, Zumba, Recreational Co-ed Volleyball, Ethel Yoga, Golf Clinic, Men’s Basketball, Plainville Wind Ensemble, Men’s Over 30 Basketball, Introduction to Tap Dance, Fiddle Work Shop, and Dog Training Session.
