For the second consecutive year, Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters has earned Charity Navigator’s coveted four-star rating for demonstrating strong financial health and commitment to accountability and transparency.
This is Charity Navigator’s highest possible rating. It indicates that Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters adheres to sector best practices and executes its mission in a financially efficient way. Attaining a four-star rating verifies that Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in its area of work.
Only 32% of the charities evaluated by Charity Navigator have ever received two consecutive four-star evaluations.
“We are thrilled to receive this prestigious honor from Charity Navigator,” said president and CEO of Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters Andy Fleischmann in a press release. “We’re very much aware that donors insist on transparency, accountability and concrete results from us. Charity Navigator’s rating affirms we have performed with distinction in these areas. We hope this top rating will give prospective donors increased confidence in Nutmeg, making it possible for us to offer our life-changing programs to even more Connecticut children in need.”
