The Hospital of Central Connecticut (HOCC) is offering an eight-week Arthritis Foundation exercise program to begin April 6 at HOCC’s Bradley Memorial campus in Southington.
The program will be held 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays through June 1. The program will be held in Conference Room A at the Bradley campus. An HOCC exercise physiologist will lead the low-impact physical activity program aimed at reducing pain and decreasing stiffness.
The exercises, which can be done standing or sitting, are designed to be relaxing, help keep joints flexible and muscles strong. Routines include gentle range-of-motion exercises suitable for every fitness level.
The cost is $20. To register, call (800) 321-6244. Free parking is available at the hospital. Handicapped parking is also available in lots closest to the hospital entrance.
