The Plainville Chamber of Commerce’s 5th annual Pizza Feud on March 10 was another well attended event for the chamber.

“The turnout was excellent, we got close to 200 people,” said Operational Manager for the Plainville Chamber Maureen Saverick.

ville High School Senior Dylan Fusco, Miss Tri-state Allyson Genevese, and Mrs. Connecticut Kimberly Beaudoin.

The judges score card came out with Pagliacci’s winning for best cheese, West Main Pizza winning for best meet and best buffalo chicken pizza, and D’Amico’s winning for best veggie.

The overall people’s choice award, which was determined from the votes of all who attended, went to D’Amicos.

The Plainville Chamber is now gearing up for its next event, the 107th awards dinner and annual meeting on Tuesday, April 14 at Nuchies Restaurant at 164 Central St., Forestville. The reception and social begins at 5:30 p.m. and dinner begins at 6:30 p.m.

The chamber will be presenting three awards for employee of the year, distinguished volunteer of the year and a business recognition award.

The chamber will host a raffle at the event with tickets sold at the door. Tickets for the dinner are $40 and checks can be made to the Plainville Chamber of Commerce. The deadline to RSVP for this event is Friday, April 8.
